Immense

This place is huge! Big dance floor, spacious outdoor courtyard, several bars inside... and that's just the first floor! Definitely a place to check out in Dallas. Some of the other reviews here might have made me think twice but I didn't see them until after I've already gone. I will say that the people here weren't overly friendly, but I didn't have any issues. There were a couple of signs inside about watching your drink and not walking to your parking space alone so I don't know if they've had major issues here in the past. The place is very clean though and has something for everyone. Definitely stop by. I went before 11 and didn't have to pay cover.

{{WARNING DANGER}}

{{WARNING}} {{DANGEROUS}} This place is dangerous, disgusting and vial! I am taking valuable time from my day to WARN anyone and everyone who has plans to visit this place. Let me begin by saying I have been to the famous RoseRoom and had a wonderful time. However on the night of October 11th 2014 a nice time quickly changed to a living nightmare. My boyfriend and I were assaulted by numerous security and staff members here. Our property was stolen and destroyed by the "security" personnel. I am a 5 foot tall 160 pound woman I was wearing heels and a formal dress. Upon leaving this establishment after choice words between myself, the upstairs bar tender and his "regular" (a Hispanic woman) who stood much taller than I. She actually originally assaulted me and the bartender came between any further incident and I quickly walked to the stairs to leave the building abandoning my boyfriend and friends. Just shy of the door I was tackled by 2 to 3 men. I did not know what to do I tried to break free and a man pulled a baton/stick and began hitting me over the back with it. I was drug by my hair back further into the club. My boyfriend came down the stairs upon seeing this he was distraught. He tried pulling the security hitting me with the club away suddenly he was being attacked also with sticks by several guys. My sister has since told me the security was following me with flashlights saying hurry get her she's walking out. My boyfriend has told me he was drug through mud for coming to my aid. There are stick marks across his back his clothing has thick mud caked all over it and his wrist have wounds where he was zip tied so tightly. They removed his $600 Armani watch and did not return it. We have bruises and wounds from the sticks all over us. My ankle is swollen and sprained. We have documented these injuries and scheduled appointments with our doctors for tomorrow morning. I truly hope anyone reading this will proceed with extreme caution when visiting this place. I have numerous witnesses to this assault stating the seek and find mission, tackling me at the door upon my exiting, dragging me back in and beating me with clubs was an extreme over use of force and completely lacking in all morals and ethics. These people are vile disgusting creatures and I have made several attempts to contact this establishment all of them have been ignored.

Great place ... Awful people....

I have been to S4 many times before. I love what the bar/club has to offer but the staff/queens/bartenders/"security" is all a joke. If you are not willing to throw down a $10 tip for a $5 beer, they will treat you like garbage all night. Just the fact that security is ran by a drag queen just says it all. I understand your passion for something, but lets set a standard above that. It not only makes your establishment look unprofessional but our community as well. I have only had negative or neutral experiences the times that I have gone to this bad/club. I only go for my friends that are younger and are willing to get walked on by over glorified staff and do not know better. From now on I know to take my money's and time next door to a more classy bunch of lady's and gentleman at JRs .

Horrible.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Let me start out by saying that the S4 staff is incredibly rude and aggressive with their customers. On New Years Eve, I went to S4 accompanied by my boyfriend and a couple friends. My boyfriend and I were walking around, looking for one of our friends and I was aggressively grabbed by the arm (so hard that it HURT) and literally dragged to the front of the club, all the while myself and my boyfriend were asking what was going on. The staff refused to answer us, completely ignored us. We got to the front of the club and I heard one staff member say to the other, "Is this her?" and the other said "No." Apparently, I had been mistaken for someone else. The staff did not say a single word to me or my boyfriend, not a single apology uttered for them brutally harassing me. This is far from the only time I have felt abused by the people that work at S4. I do not recommend going here unless you want to be treated like a criminal simply just for existing.

Worker at entrance rude

Please don't get me wrong...I totally understand when dealing with intoxicated people who don't follow the rules, but I had some friends from out of town visiting who were enjoying themselves at S4 one night. When it was time to go, one of my friends and I stood at the exit waiting on everyone else to gather together to leave. My friend was holding the exit door open until a worker screamed across the entrance to her "SHUT THAT DOOR!" When I asked him why he had to be rude, he gave me a major attitude; brushed me off and told me to go back out and have fun, as if I was out of it, but I did not have that much to drink. Anyhow, his rudeness was uncalled for. Although I do have fun here; especially during Gay Bingo...I do not make it my habitual hang out due to their power trip attitude!
