RIPOFF DRINKS / USING WATER 4 ALCOHOL
Ordered a grape juice and vodka and got grape juice and water out of a bar bottle. RIPOFF Saw the bartender pour the drink it was at least one shot of supposed vodka and grape juice and it had no alcohol at all. They filled their vodka bottle with water and this was from the bar upstairs on the patio. Also ordered a bud light and it had to be low alcohol content beer 3-2 beer like they serve on Sundays in the state of Missouri which is cheaper beer. Shame on you crooked bartenders. Guess this will make JR'S lots more money. I will not be back.

LOVE THE FACT IT'S FREE. I ALSO LIKE THE BALCONY LEVEL. YOU CAN SEE CEDAR SPRINGS HOMOS (LOL) WALKING BY. MUSIC WAS OK. NO DANCE FLOOR AT ALL. DRINKS WERE STRONG. THE CROWD LOOK OLDER TOO. VERY CHILL PLACE.
Just as good during the day...
For me, the best time to hit up JR's is during the day. Grab a couple of beers with a friend or more, and just sit back and relax with plenty of conversation and all the good jams.
Generic, feels like I'm drinking at Chilis....
This is the 3rd JR's I have been to on my travels, and they kept true to keeping them all the same, which is bad, because I could swear I'm at TGIFridays, I'm suprised the bartenders aren't wearing any flair. The crowd was that type of crowd that wanted to be at "the place to be" so funny to watch their make up run as they had to go outside on the upstairs patio to smoke in the Dallas heat. There are always a few nice, normal people mixed in, but all in all, this is one of those cookie cutter bars you can just pass on by and go to a real gay bar down the street. Nothing special here...
Place to pre-drink
This seems to be a hopping off spot. It has a large lower floor and is kind of dark. People hang out there all day. There is a nice upper deck. Its always fairly busy when I've been. Cant say I've ever stuck around there long.
