KINGS FOR A CAUSE NATIONAL EVENT INFO
Kings for a Cause (KFAC) is a national drag event that brings together drag kings, male illusionists, and other entertainers all over the country in a one of a kind fund-raising event. Started by Anson Reign (Mister King of the Desert US of A M.I. Emeritus) of Phoenix, AZ in 2009, this years events are held nationwide August 12, 13, and 14. Multiples cities throughout the country will present a drag show (in their area) on the same night with 50% of the proceed going toward a local charity of their choice and the other 50% going to each years selected national charity. KFACs 2011 charity is Project Kindle.
Project Kindle, formerly known as Camp Kindle, was established August 1998. The organization's primary purpose is to provide cost-free camping programs, year round support and advocacy for children, young adults and families infected with or affected by HIV/AIDS and to offer innovative peer-based HIV/AIDS education for young people ages 12-24. www.campkindle.org
