This month, we’ll ride over to the Design District. While the long-range forecast says we should have some decent temps, winter is still here and the chances of harsh weather will remain for a bit. And here is your chance to help folks who may need it. The Taco Stop has a rack of coats out front with a sign that reads, “Are you cold? Take one. Do you want to help? Leave one.”
This is a great opportunity to clean out your closets and bring any coats, gloves, hats and scarves. I’ll have the trailer on the back of my bike, so you won’t have to worry about carrying any items you bring. Also remember that thrift stores have aisles of affordable coats. I’ll accept any items between now and then and load them into the trailer.
This is a no-drop ride for riders of all levels. We’ll be on paved bike paths for a good bit of the trip and we’ll take in historic Swiss Ave on our way.
Here is our eight and a half mile trip to the Taco Stop.
