Celebrate America with a day of family fun in Fair Park at Fair Park Fourth. Fair Park Fourth will be held Monday, July 4, 2016. Admission is free to Fair Park's grounds and to see the historic art, architecture, fountains. SEE OUR FULL SCHEDULE OF ACTIVITIES: http://fairpark.org/fair-park-fourth.html ANSWERS TO YOUR MOST-ASKED QUESTIONS: http://www.fairpark.org/fair-park-midway-faqs.html ATTRACTIONS AND CONCESSIONS • The Children’s Aquarium at Fair Park will be open from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and will charge a discounted admission of $4 per person after 4:30 p.m. • Texas Discovery Gardens will be open from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Enjoy the gardens, butterflies, crafts and activities all day long for half-priced admission. • Swan Boats open at 11 a.m. with $10 rentals. • Concession stands will be available in Cotton Bowl Plaza starting at 11 a.m • The Old Mill Inn restaurant and patio will be open from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. • Food trucks will be set up in Big Tex Circle starting at 2 p.m. • The African American Museum will be open and offering free admission from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. STATE FAIR OF TEXAS MIDWAY The State Fair of Texas Midway Open at noon. Admission will be $5. Around the Midway, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., music will be performed by the Razzmajazz Dixieland Band. Near the Top o’ Texas Tower from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., guests can experience a concert by the multi Grammy Award-winning ensemble Brave Combo. Once inside the Midway coupons can be purchased for food, beverages, rides, and games. Available on the Midway will be approximately 30 exhilarating rides (including the Texas Star and the Top o' Texas Tower), 14 games, and 19 concession stands (including Fletcher’s Corny Dogs). Ride, game, and concession costs will vary. All proceeds from the Midway during Fair Park Fourth will be donated to the State Fair of Texas Youth Scholarship Program. FREE PERFORMANCE Dallas Winds (formerly the Dallas Wind Symphony) will perform a concert in front of the historic Hall of State at 6:50 p.m. A lead singer from Dallas Summer Musicals will open the concert by singing our national anthem. FREE FIREWORKS The Fair Park Fourth fireworks show created by Pyrotechnico will begin at 9:37 p.m. and is sponsored by Oncor. The best seating for viewing fireworks will be in Cotton Bowl Stadium. The main gate of the Cotton Bowl will open at 5 p.m. $10 PARKING Parking is $10 per car at Fair Park Gates 5, 6, 10, and 11.
