The event includes pieces composed or adapted for cartoons including The Incredibles, Pink Panther, and Chicken Run; and music made famous by Disney and Warner Brothers such as William Tell by Rossini, Hungarian Dance No. 5 by Brahams, Peer Gynt Suite by Tobani, and more.
“Animation has such a rich history of thrilling music that stays with us for our whole lives” said Oak Lawn Band Artistic Director Timothy V. Norris, Jr. “This will be a celebration of watching cartoons as a kid, recognizing how great these pieces are, and of course have a lot of fun while we’re at it.”
The event will also include a raffle and reception.
