Pit Bulls are FAMILY Rally

Two Dallas City Councilors recently told Channel 11 that they support a ban on Pit Bull type dogs in the city of Dallas. We will peacefully gather and parade our dogs around Dallas City Hall to show Dallas city council and residents that responsible Pit Bull type dog owners ARE THE MAJORITY. Please bring your well behaved pups on a 6' or shorter leash (no retractables please), water for yourself and your pups, and poop bags. ALL BREEDS WELCOME! Dogs must be up to date on vaccines and NO FEMALES IN HEAT. Texas state prohibits laws on the basis of breed. Even still - talk like this is DANGEROUS and reinforces the untrue stereotype of Pit Bull type dogs. BSL is costly, ineffective and destroys families. § 822.047. LOCAL REGULATION OF DANGEROUS DOGS. A county or municipality may place additional requirements or restrictions on dangerous dogs if the requirements or restrictions: (1) are not specific to one breed or several breeds of dogs; and (2) are more stringent than restrictions provided by this subchapter.
