Alberta Rye has only been available in the U.S. for less than a month, although it's the #1 best selling rye in Canada.
The new super-premium whisky from Canada’s Alberta Distillers, owned by Beam Suntory, features a blend of 91% rye whisky, 8% Bourbon and 1% Sherry, and is aged in both new charred American white oak and once-used American Bourbon barrels.
The latest offering is designed to be served in a variety of whisky cocktails with the intention of “challenging bartenders and consumers to rethink their rye and give cocktails a new interpretation”.
Dan Tullio, Canadian whisky master ambassador at Beam Suntory, said: “As the rye whisky category continues to grow, we’re thrilled to be able to introduce a new product to US whisky lovers.”
“With Alberta Distillers’ rich heritage producing superior rye whisky, Alberta Rye Dark Batch Whisky combines contemporary flavor trends with classic notes of premium rye whisky, offering mixologists, spirits connoisseurs and whisky enthusiasts a one-of-a-kind whisky with a robust, sophisticated flavour.”
The new rye whisky has “flavours of honey and oak”, leaving “hints of vanilla, smoke, sweet oak and savoury dried fruit” on the palate.
Similar to the last, this event will have:
-Complimentary whiskey tasting with on-site Mixologist
-Popup cigar lounge with professional cigar roller
-Tasty barbecue from somewhere local
-Music stylings by Detloff / Mike D
-Lots of fun, toasting, and influential people in the social media marketing and traditional media space
This is an exclusive event, however, free free to bring significant others.
Let's show the Canadians Texans are pretty darn friendly as well.
