Join the Dallas Community as we honor his memory and celebrate his message of hope on his birthday to empower and inspire all disenfranchised communities.
We will gather at 8pm, Thursday, May 22 at the Legacy of Love Monument (located at the intersection of Oak Lawn and Cedar Springs) for celebration, remembrance, a candlelight walk for justice and a birthday cake reception.

THE MARCH:
Is dedicated to LGBTQ SMU Students who continue to face rabid homophobia after a twice failed Student Senate Seat Referendum that would have helped pave the way for inclusion on campus. Members of Gray Pride will join with out SMU Students to lead the procession.
Immediately after the celebration, we will proceed from the Legacy of Love Monument, north on Cedar Springs to Throckmorton, where we will make a left turn and end behind Sue Ellens.
We kindly ask that all participants abide by police escort and "Marsha" instructions, stay "in bounds" and on our half of the street only. Please DO NOT obstruct oncoming traffic on the other half of Cedar Springs.
THE RECEPTION:
Will take place immediately after the march, upstairs at Sue Ellens. Birthday cake and ice-cream will be served and cocktails will be available downstairs. Additional speakers and entertainers will grace the stage and Hope for Peace and Justice will make a very special announcement.
