"A Night of Queer Love, Hot Entertainment and Questionable Morals!" Help christen QueerBomb Dallas at LOVEBOMB, our very first fundraising event — hosted by our friends at CinéWilde at the Texas Theater — a night dedicated to wild, transgressive and beautiful queer love; sexual liberation; and Liza Minnelli! - Fiery "Queerlesque" performances, cabaret and drag with local queer stars of stage and fantasy! - Fabulous prizes raffled off all night (Tickets $1) - Drink Specials! - Special screening of "Cabaret" with Joel Grey and Liza Minnelli! - Pre-film talk with local queer film experts! - Costumes highly encouraged! - Admission only $10 at the door! 8 PM - Doors open 8:30 PM - Pre-show talk 9 PM - Film 11:30 PM - LoveBomb Cabaret ---- At 8pm, brush off your bowler caps and head down to The Texas Theatre for a screening of Bob Fosse’s queer-tastic Cabaret, starring queer-icon Liza Minelli and a some of the gayest show tunes ever to hit Broadway and Berlin. In traditional CinéWilde style, we’ll host a brief pre-film conversation at 8:30 with local experts discussing the film’s legacy on the literary, stage, film and queer communities. The film starts at 9pm, but stick around afterwards because CinéWilde never ends after the credits roll! Post-film we’ll throw a cabaret-style a fundraiser for the newly formed chapter of QueerBomb Dallas (www.queerbombdallas.org). Not to be outdone by Liza or Joel, we’ll have some girlesque and boylesque performers, a stellar drag number or two, and we’ll raffle off incredible prizes with drink specials and lovely surprises every chance we get.
