ANNOUNCEMENT:
Two of the top international DJ/Producers will be co-headlining the signature main event: Ana Paula (Brazil) and Danny Verde (Italy), both of whom will be making their Texas debuts at The Purple Party! Ana Paula is one of the most in-demand names in the international music scene, playing in cities all around the world including Barcelona, Montreal, London, Amsterdam, and Miami. Danny Verde is known as one of the most talented and respected music producers and has official remixes for Lady Gaga, Mariah Carey, and Cyndi Lauper, in addition to his international DJ performances. The very popular South Side Music Hall will once again host the main event, and new for 2013 are extended hours and an expanded VIP lounge. Joining Ana and Danny will be Dallas favorites: Ronnie Bruno and Brandon Moses. The Purple Party 2013: BIGGER, HARDER, LONGER, STRONGER!

International DJ Justin Ryan returns to Dallas to turn up the heat for Rise, Purple Party Weekend 2013’s official Saturday pool party, with a warm-up set by local DJ Adam Metts. The reigning ‘Best Up & Coming DJ,’ for JustCircuit Magazine, DJ Justin Ryan has played before crowds of 10,000 at Gay Village in Rome and 15,000 at Mardi Gras in Sydney and has had residencies globally from New York to Australia. His uplifting vocals and alluring melodic mixes have made him a consistent crowd favorite.

For 2013, Rise moves to Sisu Uptown Resort, a unique and exotic getaway in the heart of Uptown Dallas. Featuring a large, posh indoor/outdoor space, poolside cabanas, valet parking, and the famous Dallas skyline as a backdrop, Sisu Uptown is an upgrade that will be a hit with both visitors and locals alike.

Friday April 26 "Ignite" Opening Party

Brazilian sensation and Billboard chart-topping DJ/Producer Gustavo Scorpio comes to Dallas to headline Purple Purple Weekend 2013’s opening party, Ignite, with an opening set by local DJ Paul McElroy. Scorpio, having topped numerous charts with his infectious remixes of Alexis Jordan, Gloria Estefan, Kelly Clarkson, Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez and Enrique Iglesias, is often referred to as a “DJ’s DJ,” known for sets that are vibrant and melodic with strong tribal percussions. From his progressive house beats to his big room circuit sounds, this Latin-American crossover has a reputation for keeping dance floors packed until the music stops—most notably at White Party Week in 2011 where he headlined the Muscle Beach Party.

For Ignite, Purple Foundation is proud to continue our partnership with Station 4 after last year’s record-breaking attendance to bring you an opening party like none other. Station 4 is located within walking distance from our host hotel, the Melrose, and is at the heart of the Cedar Springs entertainment district—home to shopping, dining, and nightlife where attendees can kick their weekend off right, Dallas style.

Sunday April 28 "Revival" Tea Dance

DJ Phil B returns to Dallas for Purple Party Weekend’s brand new dance event, Revival, a soulful Sunday tea dance under the sun. One of the country’s most popular DJs, Phil B’s reputation precedes him. A native Australian, Phil B has spun at almost every major gay dance event in America, including Gay Disney, White Party Palm Springs, White Party Miami, Mardi Gras and Southern Decadence in New Orleans, the Zoo Party in San Diego, and Ascension on Fire Island. He has held residencies at some of the biggest venues in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and his native Australia.
However, Phil is still best known for his legendary MASS parties in San Francisco that consistently drew crowds of 2,000–3,000 during the entirety of its 10-year run, combining an exquisite blend of soulful-house music with current dance anthems. Revival will be held at the outdoor terrace at Lizard Lounge with an opening set by longtime Station 4 resident DJ Aqualight and local DJs Paul Kraft and Mike James spin in the indoor video lounge. Our dance floor on the rooftop terrace provides a spectacular view of the famous Dallas skyline at sunset. The fresh air and the evening sun glittering against the skyscrapers as it sets behind them provide a perfect setting for this fun and uplifting experience you won’t soon forget!

Superstar DJ Paulo returns to Dallas in 2013 to headline the Purple Party Weekend’s closing party, Glow, with an opening set by Purple Party veteran Bryan Konrad from Austin. For music lovers, Paulo’s name has become synonymous with his unmistakable music: his signature percussive tribal and progressive sound is completely unique and he has repeatedly renewed fans’ faith in the dance music scene. Paulo’s live performances and distinctive sets of tribal-injected house music mixed with hypnotic vocal tracks and his original productions have gained him countless fans around the world.
During the past decade, Paulo has headlined at the country’s biggest and most prestigious parties around the world. He holds residencies at some of the best venues in North America and he has had gigs that read like an international who’s who of the world’s hottest clubs. His remix credits are equally impressive, topping the billboard charts multiple times, along with many private mixes that can be found on numerous DJ compilations and set lists.
For 2013, Paulo and Glow return to Plush Nightclub, one of the most phenomenal venues in Texas, to build on our tradition of throwing an EPIC closing party. We’re pulling out all the stops for this one: Plush is an exquisite nightclub that features a Funktion One sound system, a 25-foot LED wall, and liquid nitrogen blasters. Back also for 2013, Lasers provided by the would-renowned Laseronics. Pull out your best high tops, it’s the last dance, the last chance!
